The primaries are finally over*, which means it’s time for this year’s presidential election to really begin. Yep, the real fight starts now, and the war between Trump and Clinton (and Trump and common sense) will only get rougher from here. Sanders may not be dropping out yet (although he’s expected to fire at least half his campaign staff on Wednesday), but Clinton’s pretty much got this nomination all wrapped up. And of course Trump became the de facto nominee on the other side when his final opponents dropped out last month, although his continued, vigorous racism is causing a lot of strife within the Republican Party, which likes its racism to be more implied than bellowed out at every campaign stop and on every cable news network. But so the final match-up is set, and between that, today’s final round of primaries, and the historic significance of a woman becoming the presidential nominee of one of the two major parties, tonight was a good time on the old Twitter website.
