Winter seems to be holding on with a frozen grip throughout large parts of the country, but March does mark the first official day of spring, even if mother nature doesn’t want to play along. In honor of that date (March 20), and to look toward the warmer months ahead, we present a heart-warming round-up of some of the best spring-themed beer labels.

Hangar 24 California Spring Beer
Rise into the season with this dry-hopped wheat ale from Redland, CA's Hangar 24. Designed to help welcome the season and slough off the colder months, it pours a hazy gold, with a tangy bit of wheat and an even-keeled 5.2% ABV.

Great Lakes Grandes Lagos Lager
This Mexican-style lager uses hibiscus flowers to offer a festive, tangy twist—and a very spring-inspired pink hue. The label pays respect to that key ingredient, and evokes other things (sailboats, amusement parks) tailor-made for the warm weather.

Left Hand Travelin' Light
This year-round offering from Colorado's Left Hand just dropped, a light Kolsh-style ale buoyed by Willamette and Mount Hood hops. Its graphic captures the abstract quality of a cool rush of a wave, beckoning the warmer weather.

Dogfish Head Aprihop
As the label's graphic reinforces, the "apri" references one of the key ingredients: apricots, used to help temper the explosion of Amarillo hops, added dry after fermentation. The beer is released every March, and stays on the shelves—inventory willing—through May.

Cape May Always Ready
Cape May, NY, is home to the U.S. Coast Guard, so it's fitting that the brewery named after the city should pay homage to this branch of our armed forces. This spring Northwest IPA delivers tropical notes to further reinforce the season, a lush hop bomb with notes of pineapple, mango, and lemon zest.

Odell Runoff Red IPA
Spring in the Rockies brings warmer temps, spontaneous snow storms, and the start of the snowmelt that funnels into the region's rivers. It's also where Colorado-based Odell gets its water for their mash tun. This red IPA pays homage to this flow, with a warm-tasting IPA strengthened with a malty backbone.

Wasatch White Label
The Snowy Egret migrates back to the warmer climate of Utah each spring, and this take on a Belgian white has made a similar return—Wasatch recently re-introduced the beer due to popular demand. Its orange hue partners with orange zest and coriander to make for the perfect warming-weather drink.
