M83’s live shows complement the group’s sweeping, synth-laced opuses with light spectacles to match that musical grandiosity. Cascading funnels of magenta, blue and green fall over staccato starbursts of LED in one of the most visual experiences touring today. After transforming M83’s single “Go!” into a sci-fi comic epic, Paste photographed the band (with guest vocalist Mai Lan in tow) alongside opening group Sofi Tukker during their Columbus, Ohio stop at Express Live! ampitheater.
