Blackbird Presents, a production team that has in the past put together massive tribute concerts to musicians such as Levon Helm, Gregg Allman and Jerry Garcia, is venturing into the very crowded world of music festivals. Their latest attempt, in partnership with none other than Willie Nelson, is the inaugural Outlaw Music Festival, a single-day affair that will take place on Sunday, Sept. 18 at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pa.
The festival has quite an amazing lineup: headliners include Willie Nelson & Family, Neil Young + Promise of the Real, and Sheryl Crow. Other performers include Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Lee Ann Womack and Brothers Osborne, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks. In addition to music, there will also be local food and alcohol options, as well as work from local artists.
Artist fan club and Citi cardmember pre-sales began today, Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. EST, and run through Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10 p.m. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, July 29 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster here. Find more info on the fest website here.
