Description
What better way to sample Omnivore Recordings three Record Store Day 2013 releases than – well, a sampler!
First off is the new, movie mix of “In The Street” from Big Star Nothing Can Hurt Me (Original Soundtrack). The 2-LP, colored vinyl, limited-edition pressing features 21 unissued versions of Big Star Classics. Movie mixes, alternate mixes, demos – it’s a Big Star fan’s dream release.
“Pressure Dome” was one side of Three Hits’ Don Dixon produced 1985 single, originally released on Hib-Tone. Omnivore has collected those 2 sides, 3 others and is even offering a download card inside with 2 more tracks (a total of 7). Oh, and did we mention RSD co-founder Michael Kurtz was in the band?
Old 97’s recorded 2 tracks with Waylon Jennings that never saw the light of day, yntil now. Those two tracks join a pair of demos on the double 7” on colored vinyl, including this one, “Visiting Hours.”
And, just because we want more folks to know about The Knack’s Rock And Roll Is Good For You: The Fieger/Averre Demos, we tagged “(Here On This) Lonely Night” on as a bonus track.
