The reason for this project is simple: the worship of the Lord Jesus
Christ, our messiah and our God. It is by the people of Redeemer
Christian Church and for the people of Redeemer Christian Church, but
its ultimate aim is to glorify the Word who became flesh and dwelt
among us (John 1:14).
As the title Redeemer Hymnal suggests, these songs are intended to be
sung. And we encourage you to let these songs stir your heart to sing
in worship to God. As the volume title “Advent” suggests, these songs
are intended to be sung specifically in the seasons of Advent and
Christmas.
Advent and Christmas are seasons of the church calendar in which we
remember our absolute need for salvation, as well as God’s absolute
faithfulness in giving us his son Jesus for our salvation. It is a
time to remember that Christ has come, as well as a time to stir our
hearts to the reality that one day he will come again with his good
and glorious kingdom.
As you worship with us, may all our hearts be filled with longing and
hope for that day!
