The Jazz Council is a quintet from Cranbrook BC, in the heart of the Kootenay Rockies. Bernie Primbs (bari sax) and Laurel Ralston (trumpet) front the group with their delicious sounds. Bernie's soulful playing is as confident as it is creative, while Laurel's smooth, elegant tone melts the soul. Filling out the backline are the powerhouse rhythm section of Joel Kroeker on bass, Tim Plait on piano, and Sven Heyde on drums.
