6 Spots to Enjoy New England's Fall Harvest

Changing leaves aren’t the only hues you should take in on a fall trip to New England—the autumnal harvest provides a spectral bounty of rich tastes and warm shades. The spectacular reds, oranges and yellows associated with fall leaves resonate in local crops, which are enjoying the peak of harvest season.

New England isn’t simply known for apples and pumpkins, however. The region’s farms also bear riches like wine, cheese and even potatoes. From touring an Ocean Spray cranberry bog to navigating Maine’s notorious, annually-changing corn maze, here are six agricultural New England experiences, one for each state, you won’t want to miss this autumn.

1. A.D. Makepeace Company, Wareham, Mass. 2. Gould Hill Farm, Contoocook, N.H. 3. Quonset View Farm, Portsmouth, R.I. 4. Treworgy Farms, Levant, Maine. 5. Sugarbush Farm, Wootstock, Vt. 6. Rosedale Farms & Vineyards, Simsbury, Conn.
